For a home designed to fit you and your life
About you
Your home does not fit your current needs. You would like to reconfigure the layout, expand the space, or build a new home or ADU to reflect your and your family’s needs and day-to-day life.
About me
I provide residential architectural services for home remodels, additions, new homes and ADUs, helping clients create spaces that better align with their needs and aesthetic preferences.
I have over 20 years of experience working in high-end single family residential architecture in the Bay Area, spanning all phases of project design and delivery.
My love of architecture began while visiting job sites as a young child with my carpenter dad. My appreciation deepened when I later visited him when he lived in a Frank Lloyd Wright house. I knew something was extraordinary about that house, but being only 13 years old, I couldn’t quite pinpoint yet what the things were that made it feel so incredibly special. Since then, I’ve learnedthat it was the knowledge of and attention to the human scale, detailing, the use of natural materials, scale, proportion and light (among other things) which helped make that house feel so wonderful when I was in it.
I hold a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and am a California Licensed Architect (#C-41192).

Our Process
-
This is where we get to know you and your project. We’ll talk through your goals and hopes for the space, and outline the project scope, budget, how you’ll use the space, and the look and feel you’re drawn to.
We will also measure and document the existing space (if it’s a renovation) or the site (if it’s new construction), and research applicable codes and requirements.
-
Schematic Design is where we explore different ideas and options for your home together, looking at all the possibilities and seeing what feels right for you. It is where we explore a range of options so you can see what’s possible and what feels like the best fit for you.
-
After we have a design concept in place, Design Development is where your project starts to take shape. This is when we layer in the details - dimensions, materials and input from consultants (like structural engineers) - so you can start to see the true look and feel of your future space.
-
Construction Documentation is where all the thoughtful ideas we’ve developed together are transformed into clear, detailed drawings. It’s also the stage where even more of the finer details are worked out. These documents are used for permitting with the local jurisdiction and your contractor will use them for building your project.
-
During this phase, we’ll be checking in regularly on the jobsite and helping to answer any questions that may come up. We serve as your advocate, ensuring the design intent behind your vision is carried through.
